iPad 3G on Craigslist?

Seems interesting.

You should be a trooper and pretend you want to buy one.

If i was in SD, i would at least try, since i just preordered a 32gb 3G and it set me back $797 cuz of taxes. So this would save me $200 if it was real.
 
Did you call the number and talk to the poster? I would ask krista if she would do a straight up 1 to 1 trade for an HP Slate.

I'm usually pretty good at spotting scams, but I'm not getting this one. I recognize that it's unlikely they really have 3GS, but how are they going to get people's money with no product? Fakes or something? You show up and they roll you for your cash?
 
OK, I've just got off the phone with her. She told me to paypal her the money first, which I did. She said that I would get my iPad 3G the next day. Free overnight shipping. Yay!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my God, you aren't serious are you? this must be a joke post because scammers as a lot of ppl know use pay pal. They won't send you anything! If this is real which I highly doubt, forward her number to your local police so you got proof when you file a complaint with pay pal.
 
If there is not "real" picture of the 3G in the 3G box you know it is a scam. What is sad is we know it is a scam but so many others will not.
 
Craigslist is a sh*thole wasteland. I hate dealing with sellers on it cause they either never know what they're doing or are just trying to rip you off.

That site really needs to start charging people to use it to weed out all the riffraff.

I bought many things off it as well, safely. Latest, a kyrocera cs-5050 practically brand new for 1200.00. Bank repo. That machine goes used for 7-9k, and new for 14k.

Just have to careful.
