IPAD 3G signal not working with IOS4.2

Since upgrading to IOS4.2 i can't get an Orange 3G signal, just the 'No Service' message at the top left of my Ipad.
I've done a restore to factory settings via ITunes and the 'Orange' signal appears almost straight away after searching, but then restoring back to IOS4.2 from my backup, 'No service' again.
Any Ideas out there?

Go the Settings > General > Reset and use the Reset network settings button. That often does the trick.

Thanks, but I tried that too, no luck , switching airplane mode on and off seemed to do the trick!
