Is anyone experiencing problems using HDMI out (officially "Digital AV Adapter")?
I bought the adapter today. So far tried it on the following apps:
- NBA.tv
- Solar Walk
- Star Walk
- Plex
Been testing it out for a few hours, and it only seems to work without bugs in Plex.
In NBA.tv via external display (as opposed to mirroring) all of a sudden the external display will show nothing but static, while it appears on the iPad as if it's still playing externally. It usually does so after about 5-10 minutes. To fix, I'll have to return to iPad main screen (what do you call this, by the way?), pull out adapter, plug in adapter and re-enter the application. Then wait another 5-10 minutes, it happens again.
On the Solar and Star Walk Apps it's the same thing only it takes about ten seconds instead of 5-10 minutes or as soon as you navigate in the cosmos. Solution for this is the same as for NBA.tv, and again, problem is reproduced like clockwork.
As noted, when mirroring there hasn't been any issues while I've tested. I've not come across any bugs while running Plex iOS so far, mirroring or via external display.
