Ipad 4.2.1 Cydia Install Problem

And so i followed those uber confusing guides all over the int to jailbreak my iPad= Use redsn0w to install cydia. Now im left with this blank cydia icon that doesnt open. I was told that all i need to do was just do the boot tethered thingy on redsn0w but ive done it countless times now and it still didnt work. Help plz! How do i fix this prob?

Which iPad do you have?

You can't jailbreak the iPad on 4.2.1.

Use GreenPoison for jailbreaking the iPad1! Its easier and untethered!
