iPad iPad 4, AirPlay and New York Times website

I stream music from my iPad to speakers with an airport express attached to them. All works fine until I use safari on the iPad to load the New York Times website. As soon as I do this AirPlay disconnects. Any other webpage loads and AirPlay keeps going. Switch to the New York Times, AirPlay will disconnect within 5 seconds.

Does anyone one else have a similar problem?

Any idea why this might be happening?

Sometimes the NYT home page auto-loads videos which have audio that is conflicting with your music stream.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to disable this on the NYT page?

not that I know of, but maybe. I've only experienced it once or twice.
