HI all,
I recently purchased a second hand iPad 4 cellular and it seems to be locked on the '3' network, after inserting an EE and Vodafone sim it is detected but there is no service. I have tried manually selecting the carrier but it still displays no service, as soon as I put in the 3 SIM card it is instantly on the carrier, when inserting A different SIM card it doesnt display the cellular number but after selecting the carrier it displays the number in settings so I'm stuck what to do. Many thanks

I know that more recently the Three network ship their mobile devices unlocked (so you can use any network SIM) but would hazard a guess that this wasn't the case when the iPad 4 was released.

I've found the following link: https://www.three.co.uk/Support/Device_Unlock which you may be able to fill out and then use another network's SIM.
