From a look at the tech specs on Apple.com, it appears the iPad 4 retains the same dimensions and weight as the iPad 3. But I haven't read any hands-on reports yet that can confirm or deny a change in display tech.

iPad 3's inclusion of older tech in an LCD display caused uneven lighting and overheating issues. I want to know if this is fixed before I go buying iPad 4.

IGZO's the type of display Apple wanted for the iPad 3 but it wasn't ready quite in time. Now it is, and the inclusion of IGZO to fix such obvious design flaws should be a "no-brainer."

good catch

i think it's worth waiting for the next revision

i'm in no hurry

No. The only changed stuff are A6X chip and Extended LTE capability. Maybe the next gen. iPad comes with the IGZO display.
