Hey guys...so i have iPad 4th still on iOS 6
At first i didn't want to update to iOS 7 but software update automatically downloaded the update and it takes 10gb of other files on my iPad :(

So i planned to update via OTA
How's iOS 7 performance on iPad 4th? Basically i use my iPad to browse facebook on many app browser like safari, chrome, dolphin, puffin etc

Thank you :)

Performance varies per user, but...

I've been fairly happy with it. Apps run well, and it's stable. Some of the animations can be a little rough, especially when using multitasking gestures, but it's something that only a very picky person would get upset about.

Also, 10GB seems a bit high; the update isn't that big. You probably have other data that's bulking that up.

There have been many reports of problems with iOS7 such as lag and reduced battery life but I have yet to encounter these faults.

It is just as fast and fluid and battery life is the same as before.

It is fine. No issues at all here.

32gb ipad 4.

I think you waited long enough....

If your iPad isn't jailbroken, try creating an iCloud backup, then do a Erase All Settings and Content and restore from the iCloud backup. I've heard reports that this gets rid of the downloaded update without installing iOS 7. However, I haven't tried this myself, so I can't guarantee it will work.

I'll try to update OTA tonight :)

Before software update downloaded the update it just takes about 1,5gb of my other files
Im pretty sure the other 8,5gb is the update data :(

I wish I would have never updated makes me not want another Apple product! (Now that is bad)

so glad i didn't update my apples yet
reading users reviews how it is 50/50 chance of sluggish and buggy lottery, decided to wait for newer versions of ios7

iOS 7 is working great on my iPad 4 so far.
I have had no issues at all and in some regards it seems to be running even better. No battery issues at all on either my iPad 4, iPad mini or iPhone 5.

iPad 4 - 64GB WiFi Cellular
iPad Mini - 64GB WiFi
iPhone 5 - 32Gb AT&T

Three initial stages after upgrading to iOS7:
1. Oh no! What have i done! I should never have updated!
2. Oh well, might as well give it a fair chance..
3. I love It! Would not go back to iOS 6 in a million years!

Once you realize all the great tweaks that are in iOS7 you will love It! Its not about transparancy or new colors and icons. Everything is just more intigrated, you will then start to understand the thought and work they put into It.

As for how well it works with iPad 4 I can say that there are some hickups here and there, but its very close to iOS 6 performance. The pros outweigh the cons imo.

I updated my iPad 4 to iOS 7 as soon as it came out, and I like the OS itself, but the performance plain sucks. The iPad lost the one thing that I always enjoyed about it - the responsiveness. Now it feels like a run of the mill Android tablet - hiccups, slowdowns, etc. Really disappointed in Apple as that has always been their strong suit.
