iPad 4 or iPad Mini

I am honestly stuck between this, I want the size of the ipad mini, but the screen and speed of the ipad. I need portability but a good screen or a non-outdated chip.

I am right there with ya. I think I will have to wait and look at both in person. Price does not matter too much to me. I am more torn between a smaller device but with a lack of retina and faster processor, or the full blown ipad.

I still see little advantage to an iPad mini. My iPhone 5 fits in my pocket just fine. The iPad Mini will not fit in a pocket, therefore it is no more portable than the large iPad. I can see how some people might want it, but not me.

I'm going to look at it first, than decide... This is what I'll do and see if the mini is OK for the price point.

Yup, I like the width of the ipad mini how there is no black/white bars surrounding it, and the anodized back (if your getting black). But it feels like it is a late-2011 device rather then now.

Unless the iPad mini can fit in a pocket, the size difference is irrelevant. I'd want the larger screen size...unless the 7.9" one fits in a pocket.

I think price is the only real reason to go with the mini, unless it's pocketable.

I'll start with the Mini. Then all the gushing here will make me question my finances and I will delude myself into finding that in fact, I need the version 4.

I'm definitely gonna go with the iPad Mini. I have not owned an ipad before as it's too big, so I'm glad I waited this long for Apple to finally announce the iPad Mini.
