Do not own a iPad. What should I buy?
iPad 4 64GB Black like Retina Display or iPad Mini Black 64 GB like the size.
Have a MacBook and iPhone 5.
Going to pre-order.
Let me know.
Thank you,
Tim

The difference between the two is really on how you will use the iPad.

Do you want a retina display or will you prefer a smaller tablet that's easier to use in one hand, i.e., can use it to read books on the subway.

For me a smaller device fits my needs a heck of lot better then the larger iPad with a retina display.

iPad mini was developed for internet PRON as it keeps the other hand free :D :p

Really it depends on what you want, I have an iPad 3 but I'm actually going to move to an iPad mini (so some would argue a step down) but I find I primarily use my iPad in bed for reading each night, for sending app content to my appleTV via AirPlay and I think the smaller size and less weight will be more beneficial than the retina display (which is fabulous and I will miss) on the iPad 3.

I must admit was tempted by the 2x speed claims and 2x graphics of the A6x processor on the iPad 4, but then thought about it and realised that my iPad 3 never seems sluggish or slow so maybe I don't need more speed either right now, plus I have the A6 in my iPhone 5 anyway.

Either way I'm sure you'll enjoy your new iPad :). Just hope it's for longer than the 6 months before we see another refresh...
