All iPads ipad 4 or ipad mini

My FIL is going to get my DD one for her Chanukah gift. Which one would you pick and why?

I should mention that her twin sister has an IPad 3.

I guess it depends on how old she is but I much prefer the size and price of the mini for my 6 year old.

It's going to be personal preference. The 4 is spec and performance leader but the size of the mini is making it very attractive to some people. You can't go wrong with either.
