iPad iPad 4 Shipping from CA?

I haven't received my shipping info from Apple yet, but I did manage to locate my tracking number using my telephone number on FedEx's website.
It shows my iPad 4 in Ontario, CA. Aren't these supposed to ship from China? Or has Apple stockpiled a bunch already?

Same thing I was thinking. I was about to start this tread too same goes for my mini I ordered too ... Its in Ontario, CA as well

My iPad 3, ya know the old new one, also shipped from Ontario, CA last spring. I think they do stockpile them at various locations.

I live in CA and Ontario is usually the airport that UPS uses when I order something, using their Baldwin Park hub. But my iPad mini is currently in Louisville, coming from China (I thought it would fly from Anchorage to Ontario, but it didn't).

A lot of sense it makes !
