iPad iPad 4 thicker?

Just picked up a 4 and put it in the Joy Smartsuit 3 case I kept the iPad 3 in. The 4 barely fits and it doesn't close the same as with the 3 in it. Everything I read says the 3 and 4 were identical in size and weight, but either I got a fat one, or someone needs new calipers.

Anyone else notice a difference in thickness when they put on a case?

Also, if anyone remembers when the 3 came out, I was one of those who had a tough time finding a nice screen. It took me 5 ipads to get one that didn't have greenish/pink blotches across the screen.

I'm rather surprised and happy to report the very first iPad 4 I got seems spot on, screen wise.

my iPad 4 had backlight bleed, so bad you could actually see the LED's exposed.
i returned it.


regarding size, my iPad 4 fit just fine into the case my iPad 3 was in

I haven't noticed any difference in size. I was lucky to get a great screen on my first iPad 3, however it took 4 tries with the iPad 4 to get a screen I'm happy with. The first three had slight yellow tints on various parts of the screen.
