So my wife and I are looking for our first iPad as a family Christmas gift. We know we want a 32GB (I have a 16GB iPhone, and the pictures filled it up pretty quick), but we are having trouble deciding between the iPad with retina display (I believe it's the 4, it's $529 at the Apple store), or the air at $599. Help!

The 4 is a fantastic product, but may as well get the new one IMO. It'll be a better machine for not a lot more money.

70 bucks different I go for the Air......

Definetly the ipad air, I have an ipad 4 and it's very quick but for $70 more I would get the air, mainly because of the 64 bit processor which should make a difference in the future
