Hello MacRumors

So I recently took advantage of Target's $200 offer for my 1st generation iPad and bought myself a 4th generation Wi-Fi only iPad 16GB in black. While loading up one of my favorite movies, Batman Begins, I noticed that the display flickers during playback. It's as if the brightness is repeatedly adjusting for exposure except it does not settle on one exposure. I do not have "automatic brightness" turned on so it isn't that. This is very distracting and as movie watching was a big usage of my previous iPad this is fast becoming a problem (and admittedly a very "first world" problem). Anyone know how to fix this or knows anything about it themselves? Thanks much

Also I have experienced this problem with both HD and SD videos

What you are seeing is the dynamic contrast correction that has been an ongoing annoyance for many since the iPad 4 was introduced. It's particularly annoying during dark movies like batman. Unfortunately this is something that can't be turned off.
