I was going to Airplay some music to my back patio this afternoon. I would normally use my iPhone, but it wasn't available so I was going to use my iPad 4th Gen. I have the current version of Airport Extreme with two Airport Expresses. The iPad would only see my Apple TV, so I couldn't play any music outside.
Below are the steps I tried.I am running IOS 8 on my iPad.
1. I re-set network settings on my iPad
2. I restarted my current generation Airport Extreme
3. I restarted my Airport Express
4. Airport Utility on my iPad see's all of my devices and shows an excellent connection
5. I finally used my wife's iPhone 5s and it shows all of my devices just fine.
Does iPad allow Airplay?
I have tried searching for a solution and did look for an answer in the forum section for iPads. But didn't go beyond the IOS 8 release date
