I ordered my black 32 wi-fi at 4:04 PT on the 11th, over 3 hours after they first went on sale so I missed the "ships in 3-5 business days" window and it was "ships in 5-7 business days" instead at that point. Well my online ordered just switched to "Prepared for Shipment"!!!!! That is WAY ahead of the planned schedule so perhaps Apple is being conservative about all their iPad 2 shipping estimates (including the folks suffering from the 2-4 week delays) and it won't be quite so long...

awesome...this might help some people on the forum chill a little...

all the best for a speedy shipment

I was 3-5 and still not shipped. My theory of wifi orders being filled seems to be pretty on. I've seen many wifi ship.

When did you get this notification? I ordered a black 16gb wifi model and ordered the same time you did and same order status (5-7 business days).

I had a 3-5 day estimate on my order (2x 64GB AT&T models) and it's just switched to "prepared for shipment." Best of luck to everyone else, but it's nice to see the AT&T 3G models actually showing signs of life.

Saw it first time around 1800 CST on the 13th switch to "Prepared for shipment", you have to check apple.com as they don't send you an email until it actually ships.
