Just wondering if you think the next ipad will have 256GB of memory? It would be real useful since I use it for everything and will need the memory. Thanks.

I don't know, but I doubt it -- they JUST came out with the 128 GB version back in February or March or around that.

What I'm hoping for with the 5th generation is that they'd go for 32-64-128 GB configurationss in place of the current 16-32-64 GB configurations.

I seriously doubt anyone even ate up the entire 128 GB of the current generation iPad.

Apple offered that version for a good reason--because some people *do* use that much space. A few other tablets, like the Surface Pro also have a 128GB model. You have to pay extra to rent space in the cloud and/or pay data charges -- and if you aren't around either you can't access anything.

I was hoping they took away 16GB and and moved everything down. For those that use iPads as computers or just everything else and have to have tons of apps. Just a thought. Thanks.

I have the 128GB iPad, and used 70GB already. Most of it is in the movies, but there are 17GB used for music. I couldn't resist twice the space for another $100. ;)

Probably the minority but I'd love a 256gb iPad, at that point it can truly replace my laptop (for my needs anyway).
Sadly, I think we're at least another 2, possibly 3 years away from getting it :(
