From what I read the Ipad uses USB-C cable, my Pixel phone uses USB-C cable but will not work on Ipad
which cable do you use on the Ipad?

Newer iPads, use USB-C. The older 6th generation iPad uses a Lightning connector. Most commonly referred to as an iPhone charging cable up to the iPhone 15 which now also uses USB-C.

thanks
So these will work okay?

Try a different 3rd party brand. The Lightning ones I've bought that looked like that randomly didn't charge.

Anker and then ESR and Ugreen cables (after Anker raised their prices) have worked well for me.
