iPad iPad 9 Build Quality Issues

I just want to share my opinion. I bought an iPad 9th generation silver from the Apple Store and as soon as I opened it, I noticed a slight blemish on the bottom. I exchanged it for another one, but that one had a visible scratch right next to the apple logo. I just returned it and didn't even bother to exchange it. I know the "base" iPad is not as expensive, but I still desire flawless products. It took so much time and labor just to purchase this iPad. Anyone else feel like the general quality of Apple products is going down these days?

Im not sure, ive had a few base models over the years, most recently got a 9th gen base for my mom for Christmas and it was flawless.
