I have sold my iPad Mini and I am about to buy a iPad Air 16 GB for $419 or 4th generation 32 GB for $419. I have read some of the problems with the yellow screen on the Air. I plan to get a ClamCase pro to use with it. I will use it for web surfing and Emails….Maybe watch ESPN. Which would be better? Thanks!

If you're going to load a bunch of stuff to your iPad, get the 32GB version, if you're not- definitely the 16GB version.

Are you media heavy or do you just use your iPad for reading and browsing? I ask because if you're going to fill it with media (Music, Videos, Books, Magazines etc...) then the 32GB iPad 4 makes more sense, but if you are mainly going to do browsing and reading then rather just go for the Air, it's also much lighter and easier to hold for longer periods than the 4, not to mention a lot more powerful, if that matters to you.

not really media heavy, just surfing web, some ESPN videos

4th gen with 32 gigs. More effective RAM than the air.

I thought they both had 1GB ram ?

While the extra space on the iPad 4 could be beneficial, it doesn't sound like you're going to be taking advantage of it. Get the Air. The iPad 4 gets very warm and the Air stays very cool to the touch even after long periods of use. It's lighter in weight plus most likely it will be able to run all the functions in the next generation of iOS.

ipad 4 still 32 bit = less/minimal crash and reload problem than an iPad Air with 64 bit. i'd take an ipad 4 anytime over ipad air

yea thats what I am afraid of, they will stop updates on the IPad 4th within a year or so..

I am leaning towards the IPad Air with Clamcase pro, anyone have the Clamcase?
