iPad iPad air 2 cellular Apple pay

I just received my iPad air 2 cellular model. It lets me set up apple pay. Just wanted to know if anyone had the chance or has information on whether or not this will work like the iPhone. I know that the wifi only models have some sort of Apple pay abilities, more for online purchases

My understanding is that the iPads will not work with Apple Pay because they do not have NFC capability.

It only works for in-app purchases that support Apple Pay, not at retail POS NFC terminals.

Currently, you can't use it like the iPhone at an NFC terminal in McDonalds or something. It's only for Apple Pay online purchases. However, it's interesting to note that the iPad Air 2 IS equipped with NFC so it seems technically possible

NFC chip, no NFC antenna. Chip stores CC info safely and securely on iPad. No antenna, no NFC terminal purchases..
