I have just bought an iPad Air 2. Very nice it is too :)
I have an iPhone 4S and I currently charge that (in my truck) with an in-car 12/24 volt charger.
I was wondering if I can also charge the iPad with the same charger using a 30 pin to lightning adaptor.
Or would the iPad need an increased charge rate?

Thanks.

It will charge, just perhaps at a slower rate than with the home AC iPad charger. It just depends on the amp rating of the charger. But if it charges a iPhone it will charge a iPad.

Thanks for that. That's about as much as I was hoping for.

iPad Air 2 10w charger

My wifes ipad air, and my old ipad 4 both had 12 watts chargers.
The new Air 2 comes with a 10 Watts charger. It doesnt make any difference, but i think it must be because the battery is smaller in the Air 2.

You can actually use either charger. The 12 watts just charges a little bit faster.

I bought the gold, 64gb, wifi....and this thing is a beauty. Amazing how light and thin it is. I am going to use them without cover at gome. I Want to enjoy this thing naked. Just like my iphone 6.
For the times that i am taking either of them on the road, i have bought the thinnest cover on amazon for the iphone and ipad.
