The first thing Apple will want to do is erase and install the latest iOS version.

So if you haven't already done so, backup your device and then erase/restore your device.

... like ability to save files easily without needing apps like Document? or just drag and drop files from computer or to computer without hassling with itunes or icloud? or editing the same file without having multiple copies in each apps? or...?

I think Alex has bad luck, not the Apple products or the dozens of other electronics he has issues with.

Your video wouldn't play. Their must be something wrong with the device you recorded it with. (Not literally.)
