I own an iPad Air 1 and Air 2. The Air 1 hasn't really crashed in the past year or so. The Air 2 has probably crashed 10 times in the past week.

I followed the instructions here:

http://www.techgravy.net/check-iphone-6-mlc-tlc-nand-flash-memory/

It turns out I am using TLC flash memory. Perhaps this would explain why I am experiencing random reboots and freezes.

I'd like to know how many people are having this issue and what type of memory they are using.

If your iPad has crashed 10 times in one week you need to be working with Apple support. My iPad Air 2 hasn't crashed once. However I'm not going to go through all the trouble to find out what type of memory it has installed on it.

An exchange could be a good idea!

Thankfully my iPad Air 2 (128GB) that I bought the day they arrived at the Apple Store here in Columbus, OH hasn't crashed once. I have TLC memory according to the IOKITBroswer app and instructions you linked to.

As someone else mentioned, if mine crashed that many times in a day I would setup an appointment with a Apple Genius at my local Apple Store and take it in while it is still under warranty.
