Why isn't there a 12 watt charger anymore for the ipad?

could it cause damage if i use a 12 watt charger?

Is the charging time slower with the 10 watt charger and the ipad air 2?

1. No one knows for sure. Probably to sell upgrades to the 12W for $19
2. No, you can't cause damage
3. Yes, it's slower. Here's a video that compares the 12W to the 10W when it was first released with the iPad 4th gen: http://youtu.be/DC4gPxc89Wg

so it will be faster with 12w. Its not limited?

It's not limited. Just like the iPad Air 2, the older original iPad, iPad 2, and iPad 3rd Generation (with retina display) came with 10W chargers. Once Apple released the 12W charger with the iPad 4th Generation, anyone using the 12W charger with the previous, 10W models saw an increase in charging speed. The video posted above is using a 12W charger on an iPad 3rd Gen that originally came with a 10W charger. They saw an increase in charging speed saving ~40 minutes.
