Hi:

I have read no comments about how iPad Air 2 works with iOS 8.1.1. I think 8.1 is too buggy... so should I upgrade to 8.1.1?

Thanks!

I would. 8.1.1 seems to have fixed the total lockup I was getting every 1-2 days before.

I have had absolutely no issues with my Air 2 on 8.1.1. I think you're safe to upgrade now. Just curious what bugs are you having and is your iPad wifi only or cellular?

Did you have any issues on 8.1?

My iPad is 64 GB cellular.

In general it works well, but I've experienced annoying issues. I've had some freezes, which seem to be repaired after rebooting, as well as some strange behaviors like showing banners when they are disabled or notifications not working.

Okay mine isn't cellular but I haven't had the issues you describe. I would guess it may be certain apps cause iOS 8 bugs that others can't replicate. If you do upgrade let us know if it fixed your issues.

Safari is getting so snappy, that the next update I predict that it will load a webpage moments before I even press the button!!!

Huh...

People be making up problems just to come on here and talk about stuff.

Should you upgrade the newest hardware to the latest OS after hearing exactly zero bad things about such?

Yes, yes of course you should.

Let's go so!

Instead of worrying and wondering if there are no bugs in the new OS; why don't you check if there is an active reason you would want the upgrade? If there is a new feature, or a bug fix (that you are currently experiencing), then go for it, otherwise keep enjoying what you have!

Because I know there are reasons to upgrade, but only if the new OS is better than the old one. I want to go better, not even worse.

Anyway, I've just installed 8.1.1 and it seems more fluid and right.

Glad that you are enjoying 8.1.1. But the very fact that you and others have had to create threads and worry about it - means that in iOS-land, new OS is not necessarily better than the old one for everyone.

I had random reboots until the 8.1.1 update became available. Find my iPad significantly more stable now.

Hi,

A week later my iOS upgrading I can sure that my iPad Air 2 works much better now. Those rare freezes seems to have disappear.

This performance is what I was expecting from an Apple device when I bought it.

I also think you need to be on 8.1.1 to have SMS on your tablet and phone calls ;)

assuming you have an iphone on 8.1.1
