iPad iPad Air 2 rotation screen

I'm having problems with my screen, If I'm in land scape mode playing Clash of Clans for example and I exit out of the game the home screen stays in land scape and wont go upright or even turn landscape to the other side it stays on original side it stared at. I have to turn off the screen for it to go back and I have to do it 90% of the time. I even did a factory reset and even updated to 8.4.1. It was doing it before the update. Is anyone else having these problems? Also I purchase iPad Air 2 on launch day and still original. Should I make a warranty claim? I don't want them to think its petty but it really bothers me

no need for the warranty. the rotation doesnt work well nowadays.
