I am well aware of the fact that touching the rear of the iPad in certain spots with a decent amount of force will cause the screen to temporarily distort. However, my iPad screen is starting to develop a "sensitive" spot on the front where even gently placing my finger on the screen with no pressure at all causes the colors to temporarily distort. It was not like this out of the box.

Seeing as this issue could get progressively worse, is it worth going to the Apple Store to try and get a replacement? If this is a common issue (like the pressure points on the back), it's probably not worth it. But if this is indeed a defect, I'd like to get it replaced.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

is the spot on the same area that suffers the distortion when pressing from the back?

anyway, go to the store. definitely not a common issue.
