So I have get iPad Air 2. While I am impressed by the thinness and lightness, the speaker disappointed me very much. when playing music using build in speaker, I could feel the whole iPad is shaking, especially on the back. The same feel like iPhone in vibration mode. Also the sound is muffled compare with iPad Air and iPad mini. iPad mini able to produce more punch with bass and sound is more clear. Now the whole iPad Air 2 feel very muffled, feels like someone is covering the speaker and it is not as clear as iPad mini.

I love the screen, the speed and the lightness. But the speaker is annoying me. I might consider return it.

Is anyone feel the same?

Nope. I had an Air 1 and an Air 2 sitting side by side playing the same music and the sound from the Air 2 is much fuller sound. The vibration doesn't bother me at all either.

Vibration - yes
Muffled - no
Has more bass than previous iPads - absolutely

I'm thinking a case would solve both the vibration and screen distortion issues. I would not use the iPad without a case regardless.

Not an issue to me as I do not listen to music on my Air 2.

This vibration and poorer sound quality is part of the penalty we pay for Apple making the device so thin.

Not my money...I sent mine back. Maybe it will stop them from doing this crap next time. My guess is it will. 1st time since the iPads came out that sales were down year over year seems to agree with me.

Sales were down last year as well prior to the Air 2. As for the OP, I returned my Air 2 because it was distracting and annoying when trying to read.

The vibration is present on my Air 2 but doesn't bother me. The sound however is much improved over the original Air. I'm very happy with my Air 2 and never for a second thought of returning it.

Agree with you on the case. I've had the Apple leather case on my Air 2 since day 1. I can feel the vibration through the case and the one time I tested for distortion it was present. Neither of these things bother me, but the case does not prevent them.

Many folks are hoping the Air 3 takes care of this issue. Not too long of a wait and besides, we can keep using our current tablets without much fuss while we wait. :)

The Air 2 definitely has the best souding speakers of any iPad. I have an iPad Mini 2 and upgraded from an iPad 4. Part of the reason it vibrates is because it is so freakin loud.

I had the speakers vibrate at low volume. It's an issue for some and others are not bothered by it. I listen to audio (music, YT videos etc) without headphones while web browsing so it became an issue for me as I found it annoying and distracting.

Yes, me too. I never use headphones so this issue affected me badly. Too bad since everything else was solid about the Air 2. Oh well. Saved me some money. ;)
