So I understand a lot of people on here are happy with the 64gb, 128gb iPads. Honestly, I want much, much more storage! I travel a lot so I constantly upload my raw file photos to my iPad along with Gbs and Gbs of movies and tv shows for the flights.

So the question is; do you think and want Apple to release a 256GB (or more) iPad air 3? If the iPad didn't change in any way, shape or form, except for a bump in storage, I would buy one! What do you guys think?

I think that it's reasonably likely, as iOS 9 moves the iPad closer to a fully-functioning computer. The only catch could be if the rumored Pro materializes and they decide to keep the larger storage sizes for that device.

No. It will be too expensive, and the market will not respond well to it. The 128 GB is already expensive that it didn't sell too well compared to the 64 and 16.

That is due to Apple's absurd markups though isn't it? If the capacity price increases weren't so excessive I'm sure they'd sell.

I have a 98% full 128GB iPad Air for the past year, filled with movies, photos and lots of Apps.

All those stuff aren't used 99% of the time...

dont know.. do iphone/ipad with 128gb sell well or much less than 64gb? but isnt apple going more into clouds? im quessing one part of ios9 is a better cloud system and hence less physical storage is needed.

I would like to be able to fly, but there is a big difference between wanting something and it being realistic. I doubt we will see 256GB in an iPad for a while at least; yet if I am wrong, it would be a pleasant, but slightly unnecesary surprise

If they moved the price points to 64gb at 16gb price 128gb at 64gb etc and upgraded the lightening connection to usb3 speeds for sync I would buy one. But not if its usb2 and a bump in price.

Not sure if a 256GB model would come at launch. It probably will for the Pro, as it has more space inside, and because it may well have the ability to run pro software. A 256GB Air 3 would probably come mid-cycle, like the 128GB iPad 4 did.

It would be too expensive. Not happening, especially with more and more consumers understanding and utilizing the power of streaming.

The 128GB iPad Air cost $799, people still bought it. And people who buy high capacity models fill them with films and apps, most of them games. There is definitely a market, especially if the Air 3 has the ability to run pro apps.
