I'd like to know because one of the main reasons why I sold my first mini was to go back to the full sized iPad. I was underwhelmed by the graphics performance in gaming and also needed 128GB storage. I was pleasantly surprised to see the mini get the storage bump.
However, more importantly, now that both have 64-bit A7 in both models, does this basically mean we'll see equal performance in the two? Also, we don't exactly quite know clock speeds and RAM sizes do we?
If all things A7 and RAM considered equal, wouldn't the mini seem like the better and more practical gaming device, with it's lighter size and higher PPI?
Also for all other things like reading, browsing, watching movies and TV shows, sure you'll get a larger display with the Air, but again the mini now also counters that with a higher PPI.
Apple threw a curveball on me with update because I wasn't quite expecting the mini retina to be so powered. I was so sure to get the iPad Air, as we now call it, but now I just don't know.
Thoughts?
