iPad Air iPad Air Apple Pencil squeaks still an issue as of 2025:(

Just bought brand new iPad Air m3 11' and Apple Pencil pro from apple.

To my surprise the pencil (sometimes) squeaks on the screen, this immediately happened out of the box, I was on the setup screen.
I have some prev gen iPad in the household but never experienced similar problem.

Checked the screen and the pen tip, both look flawless.

I put glass screen protector on iPad, and the issue gone.
However I prefer to use iPads without screen protector (I know may sounds dumb).

I ask for the community, maybe someone has some tips to fix this issue without a screen protector.

I use the Rock Paper Pencil nibs on my Pencil, which I prefer as I want a more “paper like” experience. Perhaps that will help you.
