Hey all, so this morning I was streaming some internet radio show on safari and had my iPad power off.

About 20 minutes went by and I picked up my iPad to unlock it (show still playing) and noticed it had the activation lock screen and wanted me to put in my appleID. Come to find out the iPad was automatically removed as a trusted device?? Received the email on my iPhone.

I put in my password then changed it just in case but feel it's a glitch of some kind. Anyone else ever experience this on a iOS device? Seems it's actually common with an iPhone. But I never heard of such a thing.

A bit of digging and Apple says it is in fact a glitch and I do have 2step verification on which I may even chance to the newer version.

Just wanted to see what others thought of this situation. I could just imagine if this happened to a phone while someone was away or really needed it.

Thanks

My iPhone did that last month, and I had to do a factory restore and reactivate it. I'm sure it was just a glitch, but it was inconvenient.

Thanks for the response. Seems on the Apple support forums it is a glitch and a inconvenience to say the least.
