While I've had iPads for a while now, I've only just started to use bluetooth devices after getting a new Air for work. I like to tether my iPad to my 5s through bluetooth for internet access, and I also have a logitech bluetooth keyboard. However, I've been having some issues and I don't know if it's normal or if there is anything I can do to fix it:
1. I usually just tether my iPad to my 5s at work, and switch to wifi when I get home. When I get back to work the next day, the iPad still lists the phone as an available device, but will never connect to it. It always comes up with the "not in range" prompt. I have to go in and force it to forget the phone, and then it immediately pops up again on the list and then it will allow me to connect. It was my understanding that the iPad should be able to reconnect without going through this forget device process. Can you shed any light on why I have to go through this "forget device" process every time I reconnect after disconnecting?
2. I noticed the other day when I got home that the iPad showed that it was connected to my home wifi(under settings), but instead of the wifi symbol after the word "iPad" it has the connected "rings" symbol that comes up when I'm tethered using bluetooth, and showed that it was still connected to my phone also. In this situation, where the iPad is connected to both, which is it actually using to access the internet, the wifi, or the iPhone?
2. Sometimes the iPad reconnects to the keyboard automatically, and sometimes I have to go in and tap the device to connect it. That seems odd, but I do not have to make the iPad forget the keyboard everyday like I have to with the iPhone. Is there anyway to make the iPad connect to the keyboard automatically every time?
