iPad iPad Air brightness reverts to different level.

Just something I've noticed on my Air. I set by brightness to around 40% and every once and a while the brightness reverts back to 60 or 70%. I have auto brightness off and the brightness slider itself reflects the change. I haven't noticed any pattern on this.

Has anyone else experienced this?
