Ok, so here's the deal.

I'm a sports coach and want to use a camcorder to record my athletes, then connect the camcorder by SD card reader (Apples' lightning connection kit) so that I can analyse the footage on a bigger screen.

I've spent hours (not joking) searching the internet trying to find out which, if any, camcorders are able to do this.

My understanding so far is that the iPad is fussy with the video formats and file names that it will read, and equally most camcorders don't seem to be compatible.

So my question is this, is there a camcorder out there that is able to link directly via SD card to the iPad and let me view the videos - I see some cameras can record in iFrame format, would that work?

I find it really hard to believe that there isn't one out there that will do this. I will not be able to use my laptop to convert files in the field so that's out of the question.

I really hope someone can help, i'm so fed up with this now...
