Hey,

I've just purchased an iPad Air which I'm extremely happy with but at the moment it's not in a case so I don't recall want to be taking it out of the house. I'm just curious as to what case you have for your iPad Air. I was thinking about getting a smart case but they seem a little expensive.

I do like the 'clean' case free look but I don't want any scratches on the slate :D

Thanks for any suggestions :)

I put a Gelaskin on the back and use a Smart Cover for 80 of our business iPads. Gelaskin keeps the back pristine as well as provides great grip and you can easily remove the cover to keep the ipad nice and lightweight.

Lots of threads on the first page covering this, but you definitely want a clear back if you want a caseless look but no scratches. Either go with one of the shells below with a Smart Cover, or the Moshi by itself. I don't know which she'll is better yet, mine still hasn't come in but the BLASON has Smart Cover anchors which hold the Smart Cover on if you are into that. I personally like it.

I received my Moko iPad Air case today. It is a slim shell design similar to Apple's $79 option. I can recommend it due to the fact you can get it for $5 to $10 on Amazon.

At this price, you really can't go wrong. Of note, the sleep/wake function works perfectly. It has the same viewing angles available as the Apple case. The faux-leather design isn't offensive.

I know you thought the Apple Smart Case is too expensive (and it probably is) but I will say that I'm actually quite satisfied with mine. After a week, the leather seems durable, seems to be weathering nicely, fits beautifully and is nice to hold.
