Well...hmm. I had my Air for about 40 days. Today I went to replace the screen protector on it and there was dust under the digitizer. Ugh. I am within the 45 day Elite Plus window at Best Buy, so I took it in and exchanged it out.

I get the new one back to my office and...air for it...THE NEW ONE has dust under the digitizer. So...back to Best Buy to exchange it AGAIN. Luckily, the second one was fine.

After reading the posts on here and other sites...it really seems like Apple is having quality control issues with these new iPads. :(

Of the 8 or 9 ipads ive owned, everyone except the rmini i have now had dust under. Ive pretty much lived with it and expect it on each ipad i buy. The only question is how many dust bunnies i get:p

Wow...that's just ridiculous. Dust under the screen should NEVER happen apart from a drop.

I see the old troll has come back out.

Did you check the original iPad for dust when you first got it or did it appear during the 40 days?

Well of course it should never happen but it does. The ones i had the dust was either in a corner or smack in the middle of the screen. usually only 1 or 2 specs but i had one that had 4 or 5 in the top corner.

I checked it over well when I got it. That dust has gotten into the iPad while I owned it. I tried a home button sticker and then took it off...I wonder if some dust got under the home button and worked its way up.
