I have an iPad Air and I love to stream videos, but sometimes I have a hard time running 1080p on it, because it has hiccups where video play and stop to stream again.. it sucks. I'm in the same room as my router (latest Time Capsule AC), and here I have the 2013 iMac.

I have a very smooth experience with you tube and crunchyrolls 1080p videos on the iMac, but the iPad keeps stopping and reloading.

Is this related to RAM? I read that the iPad 2 has 2GB and the new AC wireless. In practice, is this going to give me a better experience with high resolution streaming? What about the AC? Is the range good?
