iPad iPad Air iTunes Syncing Issue

I have been trying to sync my iPad since about 9 am this morning. It is not 1:26 pm and the sync still is not complete. It says “waiting on items to copy”. I am trying to sync 200-ish music files. Does anyone know how to fix this issue and get the device to sync?

Are you trying to sync over wifi or do you have it plugged directly into your computer? If directly plugged in, do you still have wifi sync enabled?

I noticed slow initial syncing when wifi was enabled, even when plugged in directly. Once I disabled wifi sync the sync went fine, it was a big sync (Movies, etc). After that I went back to wifi sync and it's been fine.
