iPad iPad Air muted but still many noises

I have turned the volume all the. Way down to mute but still get many sounds text tones, the clicking sound when turning off, tweet bot clicks & so on. Is this normal? I did check & iTunes Radio is muted

you'll have to turn on "Change with Buttons" under sound for sound effects to be adjusted with your volume button

Yes it's normal. Text sounds, mail sounds etc usually aren't tied to volume. It depends on how you have your preferences set. The little switch next to the volume buttons has a preference. If it sent to lock orientation then mute is in control Center. If it's set to mute then slide that button-down to mute the device.

Otherwise you can do what the previous poster said. Go into the sounds preferences and turn on change with buttons. This will change the alert sounds with the volume.
