iPad Air Not Spell Checking or Auto. Correcting

My iPad Air is not doing any spell checking or auto correcting even though I have all these options set to on in settings / general / keyboard.

Any ideas how to get these working?

What is your keyboard language set to? Is it correct? Have you tried deselecting all the keyboard options restarting the iPad then re-enabling all of those options? That has helped on my iPad 3 running iOS 5 when assistive touch gets squirrely.

Have you tried a hardware reset? Have you tried resetting the keyboard dictionary under settings?
