Hello, my main computer is a rMBP 15". I am looking for a lightweight portable device for pdf viewing/annontation and PowerPoint viewing. How the iPad Air and Galaxy Note 10 2014 compared hardware-wise and software-wise in doing these jobs? I think Office is not available for these two devices yet. As I am doing pdf viewing/annontation and powerpoint viewing in some areas without wifi access, remote login is not an option.

Either device will work well for the basic tasks you've listed. You already have the greatest device in the history of mankind...the rMBP! I recommend going with the least expensive device as both are more than capable.

Thanks. For each platform, which software do you recommend?
