Not sure about Apple stores, but Best Buy did match the WalMart price for mine. No line, no wait at 8:00 either.

For those looking to buy the 16 gb ipad air wifi, Target has them for $479 as well. Plus if you use your Target RedCard you get an additional 5% off, thus making it $455 before taxes. Was the only person at Target when I bought mine before work.

I'm like 99% sure that Apple does not price match.

It's a safe bet these will drop to 429 or so for a brief time when the Mini launches. Same as the ipad 4 last year.

Target also has the 16GB models at $479. So if you have no Walmart near you but have a Target, you can try to price match to them.

I can confirm it is ONLY the 16GB models with the $20 price reduction at Target. I stopped by at 8:30 this morning on my way to work and got a 32GB white/silver model, rang up $599. Guy in electronics scanned the 16GB and it came up $479, 64GB $699. So only the 16GB is on sale. Got my 5% off with Red Card too. I was in an out in under 5 minutes.
