iPad iPad air question

Here's the deal, I really want a new tablet, preferably a the iPad air 2, but I think I can score an iPad air original, 64 gb, lte, for $500 (maybe under). What do you guys think? go for it?

No. Get the 2, especially because it may have touchID and more ram. Worth the wait and a little bit more money.

I would wait for the announcement next month. If they want to sell it for $375-400 that's a different story but at $500 I would wait. Besides the Air will drop in price as refurbs on Apples Store.

$500 is pretty steep. I wouldn't pay that for a used one.

If he doesn't take $400 or less then hold out for the iPad Air 2. There's no way he's getting $500 out of any sensible buyer when new iPads are less than a month away. He can't even get $500 on eBay for it right now.

He claims it's new. He has two of them (seems sketchy)

That's what people said about the iphone 6. The way Apple stuck with 1GB in those new "flagship" phones has me very skeptical that we will see a RAM bump in the next Air.

Hopefully I'm wrong.
