iPad iPad Air speakers much improved

Anyone else notice this? I came from an iPad Mini (also have a iPhone 5S) and as soon as I started playing the acoustic guitar in Garage Band I was like, wow is that actual bass I'm hearing? In the tear downs they are confirming the iPad Air gained stereo speakers this generation. As someone who likes to play music from my tablet in the kitchen, this is much appreciated. :)

Granted this may just be my perception, but what is yours?

the older ipad had one speaker the air has two I believe

There's a thread of somebody saying they're worse. Good to hear something positive. I have mine but not home yet to check them out wifi only.
 
to me they are better. stereo speakers and its 2 now. I actually like this sound better. that other person must have a defective one.
 
I've previously owned an iPad 2, iPad 3, and iPad Mini. I've never been real impressed with the speakers before and this is the first time the sound has "wowed" me. I thought I was hallucenating when I heard/felt the bass after strumming the guitar in Garage Band. Awesome :)
 
The are definitely better than the speakers in any other full size iPad.
But my Air seems to be a bit quieter than my iPad mini (playing the same song).
