iPad Air iPad Air sync suddenly stops without syncing any files

When I try to sync my iPad Air ( 4th gen ) to my Mac Mini it goes from “Preparing to sync” to “Waiting for changes to be applied” and then suddenly stops without anything actually syncing. The whole thing takes less than half a second, after I enter my passcode. Both iPad and Mac are updated to most recent versions ( 18.3.1 for the iPad ). I tried restarting both, but that didn’t work. Not sure what to try next..



Anyone have any ideas or a possible fix? Any help would be most appreciated!
