I am going to have to disagree here. It has wiggle room, but it isn't unstable. If I bang into the table it is on it is not going to fall over or fall out of the stand. The iPad Mini has the same amount of wiggle, just with less area for you to bump it off.

Really the iPhone is the only really stable device in the dock in reality.

I have no first-hand experience (yet) but this Youtube video makes it look stable enough I plan to pick one up to give it a try.
