I just bought a new ipad Air (1), and for some reason, I keep having wifi issues. Its intermittent, but at times I can't see DL speeds over .5 MBps.

Not sure if this was a known issue or if anyone else has experienced it, but it ticks me off when I am streaming something to my ipad and I am literally 10 ft away from my computer and wifi router.

I checked my wifi on my iPhone 5S and it gets 15-25 MBps, and I found if I connect back and forth to another network and back on... that I get better signal for a little while, but then it tanks again.

Is it a know iOS 8 issue?

What version of iOS are you on? Make sure it's the latest and greatest because they did take care of some wifi annoyances.

After that, some folks had luck changing their router to operate on the 2.4 ghz setting versus the 5ghz setting. Not sure how to do that for each router but you could look into it and see if it helps.
